Since this blog is about beliefs, I will tell you some of mine: I believe that everyone is a moral expert. I believe you don't have to be an expert in a field to have a valid, relevant, moral opinion on it but I do believe you should be educated about whatever the issue may be. From behind my eyes, everyone who cares enough about a subject to get educated about is equipped to make a moral judgement about it.
Now, for the final paragraph I will say why I am starting this blog. My biggest fear about the future is that the public will be unaware of important issues because they are too fascinated/distracted by celebrity breakups and tabloid journalism. Let me clarify what I mean by "important issues." Generally, this title applies to scientific discoveries or technological breakthroughs. I believe that technology can be used for good and evil and most of the time, the decision for how a technology is used is not left to the inventor or scientist. If the public is well educated about the newest important issues than we as a nation/planet can decide, based on morality, what should be done with them. And, as I mentioned earlier, everyone has moral authority as long as they are educated.
